Repeat work that books itself

Its plumbing page sells exactly this: drain-cleaning reminders, recertification notices and follow-up campaigns, with review requests after every job and a portal for homeowners and property managers.
Here is the part most "best plumbing CRM" lists skip: if you run field service software, you already own a CRM. The question worth answering is whether it does the four jobs a plumbing business needs, and what to add when it doesn't. Checked September 16, 2026 against each vendor's own pages.

Four jobs, in the order they make money. Remember what's in the house, so the tech who arrives knows the water heater's age and which valves were replaced last winter. Catch the lead, because a burst pipe calls three plumbers and books the first one who answers. Ask for the review while the customer is still grateful. And bring back the work you already earned, through reminders for drain cleaning, inspections and recertifications. Everything below is scored on those four.

Our pick
A plumbing CRM page built around keeping leads separate from existing clients, with maintenance agreements and service history on the client record. Its Marketing Suite, for campaigns and referrals, costs extra.
ServiceBox tracks backflow devices, pumps and fixtures per job site, for one customer with many buildings. FieldPulse keeps asset records with install dates and warranty info, and transfers them when a home sells.
QuoteIQ answers calls with an AI receptionist and transcribes them, billed by the minute. Workiz records and summarizes every call and can assign tracking numbers per campaign.
Every platform here stores customers, jobs and communication history. The differences show up in what they remember about the building, whether leads are tracked before they become customers, and what costs extra.

Most of what vendors call a plumbing CRM is the same product with the trade name swapped into the headline. Four make plumbing-specific claims on their own pages. Housecall Pro names drain-cleaning reminders and recertification notices. QuoteIQ names seasonal pipe-freeze campaigns and follow-ups to customers due for a water heater. ServiceBox names backflow devices, pumps and fixtures in site history, plus backflow and boiler-room forms. Workiz sells service plans that pre-book tank cleanings, filter changes and inspections. ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, Service Fusion and Kickserv describe customer records without naming a single plumbing job.
One gap runs across all ten: not one of them claims to track a water heater's age as a field you can report on, though FieldPulse and Workiz record install dates and serial numbers on equipment, and ServiceBox tracks assets per site. If you want to call every customer with a twelve-year-old tank, ask on the demo how that list gets built.
Buy one of these when your field software's version costs extra anyway, or when you want one place for reviews, texting and campaigns across the whole business. Check what you already pay for first: ServiceTitan's Marketing Pro and Phones Pro, Jobber's Marketing Suite and FieldEdge's MarketingEdge are all add-ons, and two of the four suites below publish no price at all.
One subscription replaces a stack of marketing point tools

What is a plumbing CRM?
It is the customer side of plumbing software: every property you have worked on, what you did there, the equipment in the building, the calls and texts, the leads you have not won yet, and the reminders that bring the work back. In practice it arrives inside a field service platform rather than as a separate purchase, because the job history that makes it useful is created by the scheduling and invoicing you already do.
Do plumbers need a separate CRM?
Usually not. All ten field platforms we track store customers, job history and communication. A standalone suite such as GoHighLevel, Podium, Birdeye or NiceJob earns its place when you want campaigns, review collection and texting in one system across the business, or when your field software charges extra for those, as ServiceTitan, Jobber and FieldEdge do.
Which plumbing CRM tracks equipment at each property?
On their own pages: FieldPulse keeps asset records with model names, install dates and warranty information and transfers them when a home sells; Workiz scans a label to capture serial number, model and make with full service history; ServiceBox tracks assets per job site, naming backflow devices, pumps and fixtures. ServiceTitan lets techs scan equipment models and serial numbers in the mobile app. No vendor claims a water heater age field specifically.
Which plumbing software answers the phone?
QuoteIQ sells an AI receptionist that picks up every inbound call and transcribes it, billed by usage at about $1.25 a minute and included on its Max plan. Jobber sells Receptionist, which answers calls and texts. Workiz offers a phone system that records and summarizes calls, plus tracking numbers per campaign. Service Fusion bundles ServiceCall.ai with up to 2,000 minutes per user.
For most plumbing shops the CRM decision is really the field software decision, and Housecall Pro's plumbing page makes the most specific promises about bringing work back. If you run commercial buildings, ServiceBox tracks the assets in them properly. If the phone going unanswered is what costs you jobs, QuoteIQ, Jobber and Workiz all sell an answer, and so does hiring a person.
The Stack Builder scores all ten platforms on your answers, the plumbing software overview covers pricing across the set, and the HVAC CRM guide covers the same ground for heating and cooling.
