Plumbing Scheduling Software
Scheduling software fills the weeks ahead: the water heater swap booked for when the unit arrives, a repipe that runs three days with the same crew, maintenance visits that come back on their own, and the customer who books a slot from your website at nine at night. Ten platforms compared on the scheduling features their own pages claimed on October 2, 2026.

Which plumbing scheduling software fits your shop
Customers book themselves online
Both include online booking on their entry plan, take bookings from Google search through Reserve with Google, and can collect a deposit. Housecall Pro puts the job straight onto the schedule; Workiz lets you choose between a booked job and a lead to review first.
Repipes and remodels that run for days
Service Fusion books multi-day jobs for the same crew over consecutive days, and adds separate site visits when a different plumber goes back. FieldPulse splits each multi-day job into daily time slots, so the office can fit service calls around it.
Recurring maintenance and inspection visits
Jobber repeats a job on the calendar and lets you reassign one visit or update the whole series. ServiceBox generates recurring inspections and maintenance visits from customer agreements, built for commercial contracts.
A small crew on a budget
QuoteIQ puts day, week and month views, drag and drop and recurring jobs on every plan. Kickserv's reminder texts go out 48 hours ahead and can carry the arrival window.
Plumbing scheduling software or a dispatch board: which comes first?
Scheduling is the weeks ahead; dispatch is today's board, the trucks on the map and the reshuffle when a burst pipe lands mid-afternoon. Plenty of shops need the first without the second: an owner with two vans who books every job has no dispatcher, but still loses money to no-shows and forgotten maintenance visits. If today's board is your problem, the plumbing dispatch software guide covers emergency calls, GPS and who picks the plumber.
Online booking, multi-day jobs and arrival windows in plumbing scheduling software
What each platform's own pages claim. Arrival windows matter because a homeowner often has to take time off to let the plumber in. "Not claimed" means the vendor's pages don't state it, and we won't guess.
Where an online plumbing booking lands
"Online booking" means three different things across these platforms, and the difference decides whether a customer with a dripping water heater gets a confirmed appointment or a promise of a callback.
- Booked straight onto the schedule: Housecall Pro ("New jobs are instantly added to your team's schedule"), FieldPulse's booking portal, and ServiceTitan's Scheduling Pro, which applies the same job types, zones and capacity rules your office uses.
- Your choice per form: Workiz lets bookings enter as active jobs or leads to review. Jobber has request forms that need a follow-up and job booking forms that schedule the job, assigned to whoever is available.
- A request someone confirms: Service Fusion's own help article says customers should understand it's "a REQUEST for service and it's not a definite time/date for the job". ServiceBox's intake form sends requests to the office, and FieldEdge's customer portal lets customers request appointments, included on its Elite plan and sold as an extra below it.
Kickserv's customer portal lets clients request service online, but its pages don't say whether that lands on the schedule or waits for the office.
QuoteIQ's own pages disagree on this: some say every booking waits for your approval, others say it goes straight onto the calendar. Ask before you rely on either. Booking from Google search through Reserve with Google is claimed by ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro and Workiz, and Jobber connects booking forms to your Google Business Profile.
Is a free booking app enough for a small plumbing business?
Sometimes, yes. Several tools that rank for plumbing scheduling are plain booking pages or staff-shift apps, and some are free. They're a fair answer for a one-van shop that only needs customers to pick a slot and get a reminder.
What none of the five claims is a text telling the customer you're on the way, or an invoice for the job. Homebase says it plainly: "Customer appointments, dispatch routing, and invoicing are outside its scope." Setmore and Cal.com book the customer; Connecteam, Homebase and Workyard schedule your staff. A field service platform earns its price when the booking, the plumber, the job record and the invoice need to be one thing. The cheapest published entry points among the ten are QuoteIQ from $25 a month and Jobber from $29 a month, both billed annually.
Plumbing scheduling software questions
What is the best scheduling software for plumbing companies?
It depends on what fills your calendar. For customers booking online, Housecall Pro and Workiz take bookings from your website and Google. For multi-day repipes and remodels, Service Fusion and FieldPulse schedule jobs across several days. For recurring maintenance, Jobber manages visit series and ServiceBox generates visits from commercial agreements. QuoteIQ and Kickserv cover small crews on a budget.
Can plumbing customers book appointments online?
Yes, on most platforms, but the booking lands differently. Housecall Pro, FieldPulse and ServiceTitan’s Scheduling Pro put it straight onto the schedule. Workiz and Jobber let you choose per form. Service Fusion, ServiceBox and FieldEdge treat it as a request your office confirms. QuoteIQ’s own pages disagree on whether bookings wait for approval, and Kickserv’s don’t say where a portal booking lands.
Which plumbing scheduling software handles multi-day jobs?
ServiceTitan, FieldPulse, Service Fusion, FieldEdge and QuoteIQ claim multi-day jobs on their own pages, and Workiz includes them on its Ultimate plan. Housecall Pro lets you book several appointments on one job. Service Fusion separates multi-day jobs with the same crew from extra site visits by different plumbers. Jobber, Kickserv and ServiceBox do not describe multi-day plumbing jobs on the pages we checked.
Is there free plumbing scheduling software?
None of the ten field service platforms we track publishes a free plan; the cheapest published entry points are QuoteIQ from $25 a month and Jobber from $29 a month, billed annually. Free booking and staff apps exist: Setmore is free for up to 4 users, Cal.com for 1 user, Connecteam for up to 10 users and Homebase for one location with up to 10 employees. None of those claims on-my-way texts or job invoicing.
The verdict on plumbing scheduling software
Start from the job that's hardest to schedule. If it's the customer booking at night, the deciding question is where the booking lands: Housecall Pro, FieldPulse and ServiceTitan's Scheduling Pro book it, Workiz and Jobber let you choose, QuoteIQ's pages disagree, and the rest hand you a request to confirm. If it's the three-day repipe, Service Fusion and FieldPulse describe multi-day work in the most detail. If maintenance agreements are the business, Jobber repeats visits for residential work and ServiceBox for commercial. And if all you need is a booking page, a free app will do until the invoices pile up.
The Stack Builder scores all ten platforms on your answers, and the plumbing dispatch guide covers emergency calls, GPS and who picks the plumber.
